Rendy Faulkner Originals – Fine Art Made for Everyday Life. Rendy Faulkner has been creating award-winning art since she was three years old. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in 1990 from Eastern Illinois University School of Fine Arts and has spent the past 20 years as a professional commissioned artist; a certified K-12 Art Educator in Illinois Public Schools and as a private art tutor. Her work ranges from Watercolor & Ink portraits to her specialty of innovative Mixed Media Portrait Painting. She is inspired by color, culture and the individuals she depicts in her art, whether they are a real or fictitious person. Much of her works use salvaged materials to take advantage of textures and surfaces. She has in indomitable spirit, which has enabled her to overcome the debilitating nerve damage to her right arm caused by breast cancer. She currently resides in O’Fallon, Illinois where she lives with her charming four children, husband and miniature dachshund, Poppet. Her current work reflects her observations on the whimsical happenings of daily life through stylized, colorful, unique art that commands attention and triggers a smile.

I’m a crafter, fangeek, and the lucky momma of two little blonde daddy-clones–we spend our days doing elaborate art projects, trashing the house, eating cheese cubes and oranges, and waiting for my partner to get home from his day job so we can pester him. I create items for creative kids and fangeek adults out of primarily recycled materials; scratched vinyl records, vintage superhero T-shirts, and badly-written comic books are NOT safe around me. And the best part (in my opinion) is that I do it all with the help of my two very goofy very little girls.

CrankyYellow is an organization that builds its financial basis on the selling of art, music, and literature. However, as most companies and organizations stop at the bottom-line CrankyYellow uses this black-ink to fulfill community and political endeavors that it supports. We are not, we will never be money-grubbing penny-pinchers looking to fill our wallets. We want food, clothing, shelter, and a few video-games and dvds here and there; otherwise what we want the most is to enrich the community around us (Currently St. Louis) as well as the world as a whole.

We are people, CrankyYellow is made up of real human beings, and as such we want to keep our human face clearly visible. We blog, we chat, we post our ideas in our forum, we want people to know who we are, personally, and what we are about. As such, CrankyYellow is not protected by an army of lawyers, politicians, sycophants, spin-doctors, or public-relations experts. We are not guarded by a mouse, a clown, a rabbit, a symbol, or a catchy slogan, we are who we are and we are not afraid to show it.

Not only that, we want to know more about other people, who they are and what they want. We want to help them, we want to help you. We will protest with you, grow trees with you, eat and cook with you, drawn and paint with you, we’ll sing, we’ll dance, we’ll work, we’ll play together; that is what we want. CrankyYellow is an organization that wants to be a part of the community, an integral and helpful slice of a delicious people-pie (without the cannibalistic overtones).

We have so many dreams, so many goals (as many as there are members) and these will grow as more of you sign-up. You can be an artist or activist, employee or volunteer, forum-member or blogger, customer or philanthropist; it will make no difference to us!

I recycle, upcycle and repurpose materials that would be thrown away and use them to make art work on or with. Mini illustrations are hand drawn into recycled bottle caps, they are then used for jewelry, magnets, and accessories.

I also create original art work on old VHS tapes and Records. Using acrylic paint, mix media and collage techniques.

I make art… a lot of animals… weird creatures and weird people… cut paper… stampers… hand drawn text… and it ends up as posters, little pieces of original art, prints, mini prints, shirts, stickers and sometimes some strange surfaces.

We are a family of four who make an eclectic mix of items. The mom makes decoupage, scrapbooks, dolls, and handpainted clothing. Dad makes wood worked items and handpainted clothing. Sister paints clothes and draws, and brother does a mixture of things.

I create art journals, scrapbook embellishments, cards, tags, collage, fabric pins/brooches and lots of altered items made with recycled and vintage found materials for items for the home. I am an average everyday mom with a spark for life using creativity through my art. My style is elegant whimsy with bright colors, glitter, ribbon, fabric, paper, while using many different art mediums. I am a member of the ShowMeEtsy Street Team. I also work part time at a local scrapbook store and teach others about arts and crafts.

We create an eclectic conglomeration of castoffs, clay, wood, metal and cloth manipulated and ultimately evolved into a fetching array of nonsensical objects of art such as shoe bird houses, small animal cabinets, animal relief portraits and ceramic sculpture.
