Whether you are just starting out on your alternative art or crafting venture, or have an established indie label, Strange Folk may just be the kind of rebel friendly venue you've been waiting for! All applications will be juried on aesthetic and originality. We will be accepting a wide range of media including artwork, zines, and crafts of all kinds. Importers, large companies, and distributors will not be accepted.

We'd like an idea of what you will be selling at the festival, so you need to provide us with photos of at least 3 examples* of your work. You may either point a link to your website/online shop, or upload 3 pictures from your computer. We will be using 1 or 2 of these photos on our website and on promo materials.

We would like a short description* of what you make, why you make it, and/or whatever nonsense you'd like to describe yourself with. This text will possibly be used in our Artist and Crafter Galleries, on promotional materials, and the front page of our website if you are chosen as a featured vendor. Please keep it short, a few sentences is ideal.



Participation Options

The Strange Folk Festival is an outdoor event in a large park setting. Your options for setting up shop* are:
1. Provide your own tent and bring your own display/tables. Maximum tent size allowed is 12ftx12ft.
2. Share a tent with a fellow vendor (YOU MUST SUBMIT SEPERATE APPLICATIONS!) and bring your own display/tables. Additional tables For your tent space can be rented for $5 each.
3. Rent a sheltered table space from us. These tables measure approximately 2.5ftX6ft. You may set up any display you like on the tables, but floor displays are subject to approval. In any case, Its BYOC...Bring your own chairs!

I would provide my own tent($40 fee)

I would share a tent with a fellow vendor
($20 fee, limit 2 vendors per space,subject to approval of both vendors)

I would rent a sheltered table($40 fee)

Once you are accepted, we will send you information on registering, paying your fee, and renting additional tables for your tent.

Applications are being accepted from May 25th, 2007 - June 25th 2007. All applicants will be juried on originality and aesthetics by members of the O'Fallon Arts Commission. Applicants will be notified by July 6th 2007 via e-mail of acceptance or denial. Please do not send payment until you have been notified of acceptance.
